In spite of the fact that he grew up into a monster, a talented monster, Micheal was once a child with talent and an angelic voice.
I try to remember that kid, because we were almost peers. Especially "Never can say goodbye" and quite a few other catchy pop tunes he sang with the Jackson 5. Before he started changing himself into Diana Ross and before the allegations surfaced of his appetites.
What happened later, especially the plastic surgery train wreck and unsavory private life, belongs to someone else.

As much as I don't like him for what he later turned into, I still jam to "thriller".

Bad taste, just got this in an email.
Q. What's the difference between Michael Jackson and Farah Fawcett?
A. Farah was a pin-up in young boys bedrooms wherea Michael used to pin-down young boys in the bedroom.

Other MJ "jokes".
Q: How does one know that it's bedtime at Never Never Land?
A: The big hand goes on the little hand.
Q: Why is Micheal Jackson on crutches?
A: He hurt himself running into a store after seeing a sign in the window that said, "Boy's Pants, Half Off".

I'm quite surprised at some of the reactions on some of the auto forums to his death.
I will remember him as an amazing entertainer. Yes, he was strange, but he was extremely talented.

I think Bob Dog nailed it. There's no arguing his talent and there's no denying his "problems". He leaves a lot for people to talk about.
Wow! The Beatles are free.
Jackson sold those rights a long time ago. 1995 I think.

what's the differences between Disney films and Michael Jackson?
--at least Disney Films still allow to touch little kids
what's the differences between Neil Armstrong and Michael Jackson?
--one walks the moon, the other one's dead!
just for the lulz, RIP MJ

He sold half the rights to Sony in 1995.

I like to use this reasoning in actual life:
When you try to look and remember a person, the first thing that comes to mind is the negative.
An individual could've been a perfect father, great husband, had a good job, nice house, took care of business, went to church, put others before himself...
Yet he just happened to have a gambling problem that everyone knew about.
8 times outta 10, a common person (outside of family) will remember the bad over the good.

R.I.P.? I don't think so. He will have a lot to answer for for his private life. I imagine a lot of stories will crawl out from under the rug as time goes on. He was a great talent but that doesn't excuse his actions behind closed doors. The media is being very kind for now.

At work today we heard about it, of course we passed around the idea that Michael had been dead for several years now, its just that the Maybelline people had finally given up!
Sorry, harsh jokes over.

"Man In The Mirror"
I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .
As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favorite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind
I See The Kids In The Street,
With Not Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See
Their Needs
A Summer's Disregard,
A Broken Bottle Top
And A One Man's Soul
They Follow Each Other On
The Wind Ya' Know
'Cause They Got Nowhere
To Go
That's Why I Want You To
Know
I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change)
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah)
I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish
Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not
Alone?
A Willow Deeply Scarred,
Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
(Washed-Out Dream)
They Follow The Pattern Of
The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place
To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With
Me
(Starting With Me!)
I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Ooh!)
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)
I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change His
Ways
(Change His Ways-Ooh!)
And No Message Could've
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make That . . .)
Change!
I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror,
(Man In The Mirror-Oh
Yeah!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Better Change!)
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make The Change)
(You Gotta Get It Right, While
You Got The Time)
('Cause When You Close Your
Heart)
You Can't Close Your . . .Your
Mind!
(Then You Close Your . . .
Mind!)
That Man, That Man, That
Man, That Man
With That Man In The Mirror
(Man In The Mirror, Oh Yeah!)
That Man, That Man, That Man
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Better Change!)
You Know . . .That Man
No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Oh Yeah!)
Gonna Feel Real Good Now!
Yeah Yeah! Yeah Yeah!
Yeah Yeah!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Ooooh . . .)
Oh No, No No . . .
I'm Gonna Make A Change
It's Gonna Feel Real Good!
Come On!
(Change . . .)
Just Lift Yourself
You Know
You've Got To Stop It.
Yourself!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
I've Got To Make That Change,
Today!
Hoo!
(Man In The Mirror)
You Got To
You Got To Not Let Yourself . . .
Brother . . .
Hoo!
(Yeah!-Make That Change!)
You Know-I've Got To Get
That Man, That Man . . .
(Man In The Mirror)
You've Got To
You've Got To Move! Come
On! Come On!
You Got To . . .
Stand Up! Stand Up!
Stand Up!
(Yeah-Make That Change)
Stand Up And Lift
Yourself, Now!
(Man In The Mirror)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Aaow!

Gonna Make That Change . . .
Come On!

A person's private life is just that: private. What people do behind closed doors, despite how creepy it may be, is something that they don't have to answer for. Besides, he's no longer around to account for anything. Just let him rest in peace; he's earned his freedom from the media.
Bob Dog

^That applies to adults with adults, not to "grown up" sickos geting predatory with kids.

There wasn't enough proof that he did things with as many kids as alleged. And again, he's not around to account for anything anymore, so nothing can be done.

There was plenty of proof, there was also plenty of money. Many charges were dropped for finacial consideration, besides even ones too many.

I'm still not convinced of any wrongdoing on his part. Just because you decide to settle a case before lawyers get you bankrupt, doesn't mean you're wrong. Lawyers are like doctors, they can generate the nastiest looking bills!
A few years ago I hit a parked car (gently, mind you, there was no damage to either car, except a couple of *minor* scratches on MY car's bumper's not even the other guy's!!!) Anyway, the owner of the other car was next to his car. We exchanged insurance papers so he could go have his car detailed on me or whatever. Later on, my insurance calls me and tells me that he claimed personal injury! apparently, he said that he was in the car and got throw out or some other ridiculous BS. My insurance had to settle the case to make it go away. It turned out that guy was a professional plaintiff, already sued 2 or 3 people with other BS claims. I didn't want to settle but the insurance explained that settling now would cost $3K whereas going all the way to try to prove my point would have cost upwards of $35K and it was still pretty much his word against mine. The pictures of the cars showing no damage unfortunately were not enough to disprove the guy's lies. The insurance guy told me it happens all the time, people just try to get "free money" from the insurance company.
That's why I'm saying, settling a case is no admission of being wrong, it just means you don't want to run a $$$ tab in legal fees.
In MJ's case, we'll probably will never know what really happened. Was he weird, hell YEAH, I mean LOOK at him! But I tend to believe that, because the guy was so WEIRD, but also so rich, he was kind of a target.
Maybe we'll never know. :iono:

Something can be done. We can make sure that his legacy is not one sided and the disgrace of his actions are remembered. He was not a hero. He was a sick child molester. Some of us will continue to remind everyone that he was a sicko.

^ I agree. There were so many cases against him that it was hard NOT to believe that the plaintiffs were gold diggers.

A sane man would have ceased engaging in the child "companionship" if one false case was made against him. I though I would not be the least surprised to find that some of the suits were based more on blackmail than reality, only a sick obsession could lead someone to continue in this behaviour after having been exposed to the potential legal consequences. Your childhood hero turned out to be a sick predator.

Thank you PK:clap:, i couldn't have said it better myself. It's sad to see that people are posting things like that. Think what you want of MJ, but at least have some respect for him. We have some real heartless people on here
1st, he's not my childhood hero.
2nd anyone who's dead cant answer for themselves nor do they care. so dragging his name through the mud wont change a thing .
i don't care if you are MJ, Farah or Mother Theresa, once you're dead lets have some respect thats all if not for the dead person for their family. i mean how hard is it to understand
