In light of the 4th of July I thought I'd post a pic of my litle Kramer "Old Glory" Strat style. It was a limited edition cheapy that I liked. I put in a "Hot Rail" at the bridge and this little guy screams. It's the best of both worlds with the regular single coils at the middle and neck position. Check it.

Nice, I always loved Strats. I performed for years but kind of put it aside the last few.
I still have one Strat left, a 1976 Standard that I will never sell. It was my first 'real'
guitar.

I'm an avid player. I'm looking to trade a signed silver Easton Wayne Gretzky hockey stick circa his days with the LA Kings for a high-level, lifelong keeper electric right now. I have an Ovation Elite acoustic that I play like crazy.

Have several acoustics that I love to play. Plus, I set-up, buy, and sell guitars, so I have dozens of guitars around my house all the time.

Under $200:

Yamaha FG700S @ $199. An outstanding solid top guitar that can rival guitars selling for 2 or 3 times as much.

Under $150:

Washburn G20S @ $149. A very good solid top, only available at Sam Ash.

Yamaha F325 @ $139. A great laminate top guitar... far better than many solid tops.

Under $100:

Takamine Jasmine S35 @ $99. A very decent starter guitar.

I learned keyboard first at 15...I didn't pick up guitar till I was 20. Here's a better pic of my "Old Glory". Three cheers for the Red, White & Blue! Happy 4th!!

I have about 14 right now. I swapped and traded a lot of my big guns. My main guitars are Stratocasters. I have 3...a Cherry Sunburst USA with maple neck, a custom Guitar Center model Limited Edition USA with Silver Metalflake finish and rosewood fingerboard with Texas Special Pups...and a Lite Ash with Maple neck with Seymour Duncan Pups. They are my favorite.

Just bought one like this (but in tobacco sunburst) for my 11-year-old. Mint condition. Got it for a song.

As for stinged instruments I own and can't really play, I have an Ibanez 1980ish 12 String, 1989 Gibson 335 Replica Lucille, Cheap Gibson Acoustic, and a Fender Banjo. For the non stringed instruments I own an Armstrong Flute, Jupiter Alto Sax, Artley Alto Clarinet and I sold my $2k LeBlanc Oboe about 2 years ago :/

That cheap Gibson acoustic.....do you know the model? It would be in the sound hole on a label center on the back or possibly at the base of the neck inside the guitar. It may be more valuable than you think. :D Do you play all the wind instruments? I always wanted to play sax. I gather you weren't happy about selling the oboe but that IS a lot of money.

Yeah, "Cheap" and "Gibson" are words rarely used together.

Morgan

Haha I can't remember what exact model it is, currently out on loan to a family member takin lessons (cheap relative to the 335 )

I really regret selling my oboe. I played with several community orchestras for money when they needed an oboe, but after giving lessons and playing it ~7+ hours a week it needed repairs an they were beyond what I was capable of. So I sold it for enough to get a less expensive oboe and then never got another one due to school keepng me busy

Guilds are worth quite a bit...that is a shame. The Seagull is nice, too.

Seagulls are outstanding guitars; anything from the Godin family of guitars is a quality instrument... made in Canada.

I've got a Seagull and an Art & Lutherie.

Can't play guitar, but I thought this was funny...

United Breaks Guitars video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YGc4zOqozo)

United Airlines Song Background (short version)

In the spring of 2008, Sons of Maxwell were traveling to Nebraska for a one-week tour and my Taylor guitar was witnessed being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers in Chicago. I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didn’t deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say “no” to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. United: Song 1 is the first of those songs. United: Song 2 has been written and video production is underway. United: Song 3 is coming. I promise.

I had no idea when I stumbled upon the Seagull that I'd luck out as the price
was pretty reasonable.
Interesting though I don't see many of them around here now.
