I've always thought "Initial Quality" to be an oxymoron. Everything seems to be good initially, otherwise you wouldn't buy it.

Well this is a quality rating, not an overall rating which the Fit generally wins.
I always point out that the Fit costs thousands more so it better be higher rated.

But yeah, initial quality ratings are a bit of a joke since most new cars (even the worst) will have very few if any problems in the time frame they rate.

Holy smokes, I love those minis!:Great cars in many regards but too finicky for my taste (thanks to BMW). I've had two over the past six years...very glad to have a Yaris now, which in some ways is more of a Mini than a MINI!!! Ironic, isn't it? Yes, you can tell the MINI owners I said so. :smile:

Yeah, but is'nt the 2009 Fit a redesign? I went to see the '08 Fit when I bought my '08 Yaris. The Fit was lacking in looks and looked kinda dinky and frail. The Yaris has much bigger "muscles".
