Wanted: Front Oval-T

For those that are swapping over to Netz front emblems, what are you doing with your Oval-T's? I need one or two for a little experiment in inlaying.

Yes, that would be exactly what I'm talking about, and beleive it or not, that is EXACTLY what the part is called... at least, that was marked on the OE parts bag when we replaced the Avalon's Silver emblems with the gold emblem package. But back to my question, now that we know exactly what I'm looking for... :tongue: do any of you that have swapped over to the Netz emblem still have some of these LOGOS (happy now?) still sitting around?

Paul, do new emblems, any kind, come with the "black" mounting housing thats in the oval.. or do you just get the silver or gold Toyota emblem to stick back on top of the black housing?

What you get depends on the model of veh, the Yaris is one of the few that use these "pop-ins" pretty much every other model still uses the adhesive units. I haven't actually seen the gold emblem kit for the Yaris yet, so I'm not 100% sure what the front part consists of in that kit.

I also felt it necessary to detail what I was going to do with the emblem, basically, what I plan on doing is using a chrome inlay and black resin to fill those gaps between the actual logo parts with a pattern, what I'm going for is a Q45 front badge kind of look.. pictures speak louder than words, so here's the picture of said badge.

I know the front Yaris emblem is a two part assy., as when I color matched my front emblem Polar White, I first separated the "chrome" from the black "base."

Guess what Im after now, is another "base."

Woah Chris, I didn't know you did the front emblem too. You have to post a picture of the whole front end! I'll be painting my badges soon... with the help of your pointers. :thumbup:
