I saw the Philadelphia skyline from 5000 ft!

I can't really blame you for not remembering... but that doesn't mean you never went ;)

I'm going to be doing this with my coworker and friends soon!!!

Any recommendation for pre-preparation Nutz? Even though I'm scared of heights, i said f-it :)

How many ft was it? I'm thinking of 15000 ft 60 secs...my friend wants me to do 90 sec 18000 ft w/ her... O_O...

awesome, its somewhat secretly been something I wanted to do but I have extremely terrible luck, so I tend to avoid the extreme sports :/

I really enjoy the small flights from florida to atlanta when you are below the clouds and can see the ground with mini-houses and people, so I think I'd really enjoy the view while jumping!

Pre-preparation... lol... my preparation consisted of me telling the most important people in my life, that they are... the most important people in my life...

But you should always, ALWAYS, speak from the heart... you never know what moment could be your last!

And relax... It really is safe! Truly, honestly, and completely safe!

LOL.... I'll keep that in mind when I do it soon. Was yours a tandem jump, with someone strapped to you falling down? Or the real thing, solo?

True that, I have been doing that lately. The relaxing part is going to be hard though~

If your the girl in your avatar, you look cute enough to be able to make your own luck ;)

I'll tell you a sight... at 12,000 ft I saw a cloud below us that had a circle rainbow in it... then at 10,000 ft... we feel right though that circle!

a rainbow in a cloud, that must've been a sight to see....

This is the one I'm going to be doing - http://1800funjump.com/tandem.html

Any pics you want to share on here?

Definitely a Tandem Jump... and yes, it was a sight to see!

My buddy paid extra for the video and pics... and his guy took a few of me... so once I get that copy... then yeah!

haha, yeah thats me in the avatar

anyway - I was supposed to go para-sailing once and as I was getting in the harness the main drag line snapped and needless to say I have a serious fear of kites large enough to drown you

one day I will go, until then I'm still jealous of those who get to do it

Truly, honestly, and completely safe!

Pretty safe? yes. Completely safe? no.

And the people with the attitude that nothing will go wrong, are always the ones who have something go wrong. If someone puts one wrong fold in your lines and chute, it won't open. Personally, I'm gonna learn how to fold my own chute, and watch a pro pack my chute with at least 2 other friends that also know how to fold there watching too. I'm paranoid, but there isn't much fixing a situation once you're off the ground.

We did some spins too... I didn't pay for the photo guy to come... so I don't have any cool pics... just me in the gear!

The funny thing, last night I was looking though photos and injury/death stats... and I didn't see anything... when I saw your 2nd pic, I saw something that I recognized... a specific emotion that yesterday, just never existed to me... but today, I understand...

I hope that makes sense!

Come on... you knew what I meant... There are adequate safety precautions taken. It's not even completely safe to leave your house, or stay in it for that matter... Hell. look at all the photos on this website of people who crashed their Yaris... Nothing in this world is safe... Death happens, even to those who have not been born yet!

Lets not attack words here!

Maybe it was just me but when i jumped I was oddly...underwhelmed and disappointed. I guess my expectations were too high but I didnt get that feeling of having your stomach in your throat and what not. Kind of anti climactic. Oddly enough i was my first time in a plane, so technically i've taken off in a plane but never landed. I had a guy shoot photos and video of my jump as well, they did the whole editing and soundtrack about 30 mins after we got back to the hangar. Neat experience but never did I feel as though my life were in danger. I guess I wanted to be scared but it didnt happen. To each their own I guess. Congratz on a successful jump :)

Definitely in my to-do list!

Closest I've been is handgliding, that was fun, soaring through the skies with nothing but the sound of the wind rushing past..

i made my first jump a while ago... you never really realize how much skin is on your neck until it's flapping in the wind... AND on film! haha

I went skydiving this past Sunday. I changed to 15000ft because 10000ft isn't done on weekends.

Thanks for the encouraging words Nutz, really it was safe like you said, even for my friend who's first parachute was tangled and the backup deployed for her *she got kinda scared*~

It was fun Malaya :)

Thanks Malaya.
You can do it on the weekend, once in a while enobmort42...no?

I think the highest you can do in California is 18000ft, w/ a 90 second freefall~
