The Venza has a wood-grain shift knob, but I don't know if it would fit on M/T, or how much it could cost from a stealership.

Try just searching for "Wood". i don't think there are many out there that have fake grain on them. Wood is real, and doesn't get too cold in the winter, also is cheap and easy to make.

i was going to try and make my own from wood but i would prefer to have a lathe or at least a drill press to make a straight hole.... o well i might go to Home Depot and see how much a small peice of wood is

The second one at least is real wood - the first is wood-coloured plastic.
If I didn't like the OEM one on the '09, I'd turn myself up another, and get The Kid to turn me a threaded insert for it. Hmmm..... maybe there's a business here..
