I heard Nexen's are mostly wider than the other 205/40's on 17's. So im a lil worried about this since im getting ready to purchase DF210's. Also i got another set of wheels coming it's rota 16's slipstreams bronze wrapped with toyo proxes 205/40/16. I don't know if that will rub as well.

17x7, ET40, 205/40/17: Yes. Rubbing is often a problem with 205mm rubber on ET40 dropped on DF's, but it isn't usually a serious rubbing issue.
205/40/16's are miniscule tyres, so I don't believe you'll experience rubbing issues with this set-up.

i found a rims 17x7 +42 offset. if i go df210 and run 205/45/17 would i rub on this..
also since 205/45/17 is slightly bigger that stock would it affect my abs..> thanks

Yes .. I know from experience. This is due to the cut bumpstops.
I switched to TRD springs.

does anyone here realize how much 2mm is? your tire varies by over 5mm in width as it turns.

hey i like your set up on TRD i dont know why i dont like other photos of people with TRD's you made it look good though :P About progress springs versus DF210.... i've always thoguht that they have the same dropped visually speaking. I nmgiht be wrong though i need a side by side comparison i guess and if progress will not rub on my application/set up then i guess ill have to go progress springs instead of DF's. But like i said man your car looks good on TRD's and we have tjhe same wheel offset and tire size too. I dont know maybe its the blue paint on yoru car lol!

Yes. However, the Yaris is especially sensitive to proper fitment, and just a couple of mm's can make the difference between an acceptable application and one with rubbing issues.
Add to that acceptable manufacturing tolerances; one car is different from the next, and even the same car can vary from one side to the other. Plus, wheel specs are not always entirely accurate, and a 205mm tyre, for example, varies in width among models and brands.
Nevertheless, recommended fitments generally work very well on most cars with stock suspension, and because of this forum and member feedback, we've learned what works and doesn't work so well.
