Just thought I would let everyone know that the shop I work at, Pür Automotive, will be hosting Wednesday night meets beginning July 15.

Staring time 6:00pm, ending time.....??. Walk in and appointment DYNO runs will be available at special pricing.

We are located at 2250 Markham Rd. Unit 4, just south of Finch behind the McDonalds. 5 minutes north of the 401.

The BBQ will be fired up, along with plenty of refreshments to go around. The best part, its FREE!

Access to our Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer, at our introductory pricing of $30 for baseline runs, will be available all evening for a limited time. I look forward to meeting Yaris owners in person and seeing if anyone can beat my astonishing 91.3 whp!

***MODS: If this post does not adhere to the forum's rules then please let me know and I will delete it.***

Yep. We are just starting this up, but the plan is to have weekly meets on Wednesdays. The dyno pricing, however, is a special we are running. The $30 for 2-3 baseline pulls (depending on our schedule) is available anytime during shop hours.

We also offer full dyno tuning services and dyno rentals for $85/hr ($100/hr with wideband O2). - This too is our special dyno blitz pricing.

Check us out at www.purauto.com for more info or feel free to call me at 416-PUR-AUTO.

Ah, excellent. I will see you tomorrow then. Just FYI though, we have a 300zx trying to reach 600whp tomorrow at 5pm so the dyno looks like it will be booked for tuning for at least the early part of the evening.

Nonetheless, I have already let our dyno operator know that we are expecting Yarii.

The BBQ fires up at around 6pm, but we are officially open un 8pm. That said, last week we stuck around until 9:30-10:00 before heading off to Kennedy Commons.

good meeting you YaRS (dave)...very nice shop you run there

if you get a chart w/ your 91.3whp stock pull vs my modded run, that'd be awesome. but here is my dyno chart:

98.0whp and about 98wtq

mods: custom intake, 1zzfe throttle body, megan fart can, NST underdrive crank pulley

YaRS ran 91.3whp stock....what did you say the dyno type was again?

We have a Dyno Dynamics twin retarder dynamometer which is capable of measuring up to 2400 whp. Worth noting, it is known commonly as "the heartbreaker dyno" because it usually gives readings which are lower than other brands of dynamometer (such as dyno jet, which usually gives numbers around 10-12% higher). While there is much debate as to which dyno is best, the dyno dynamics brand is well received by tuners due to its ability to control load. This allows us to simulate real road conditions as well as to load the engine at any rpm point (essentially allowing one to tune cell by cell in tuning software).

Adam, I will post my graph as soon as I get the chance to grab it off the computer. I only got home a short while ago and our dyno is booked solid all day tomorrow so I am not sure when I'll next get access to the hard drive.

Your Yaris is really sweet btw. I am in the market for suspension upgrades myself so it was particularly helpful to hear your thoughts on the Megan coilovers. What were the spring rates on yours again? I want to find a happy medium between performance and streetability, but I am still undecided as to whether or not to go shocks and springs or coilovers.

what was the problem in the end w/ my first couple runs? rpm read?

I'd have to ask my Dyno Operator. I was meaning to ask him what was up, but we had such a lineup for the dyno that I didn't get the chance.

I noticed you stuck around for a bit... Did you get a chance to see the 343whp boosted 350z or the 360 whp supra?

Yeah, I only had a limited amount of time to toss my car on (customers come first). That and I really didn't care for torque since I have no desire to mod my daily driver's engine.

No worries, I can always put my car on again. Not today, unfortunately, since we are trying to tune a 300zx to 600whp (owner's goal) atm.

YaRS

Yep, our Dyno Blitz pricing has come to an end. We now offer 3 dyno pulls for $60 w/o wideband O2 and $75 with wideband O2.
