I found this engine on Ebay, so if you want to modify a Yaris engine this a great chance, price is not bad

The motor has less than 100 miles and is being removed to convert the car to electric.

That should be interesting.

It's possible they want to use the car somewhere that requires electric cars only (like Catalina Island, CA.).

I'd actually like to pick this up as a spare... how much is it really worth though? I'm thinking of offering ~ $800... is that too low?

No, they probably just want to get rid of it. Who really wants to buy a 1NZ-FE? No tuner shop is going to be drooling wanting to pull a swap with that thing.

Dude! I got a Supra that would be perfect for it... imagine... a 38MPG Supra... now that would be something  :headbang:

It's worth every penny of his asking price and more. Junk yards(excuse me, I mean auto recyclers) these days would get $800 for a used motor with 75+K miles on it, and that is without all the extra goodies. If I was on the West Coast, I'd jump on it.

It is on the West Coast (San Francisco, CA.)

I decided It's not worth it for me... I can pick up smaller, lighter, more powerfull engines for half that and fit those if I was ever going to go nuts on this car
