HID glare shield mod?

So iv been tinkering with making the glare shield on a hi-lo bulb bigger. I removed the hi portion of the bulb and made it just low beam for more area. As i am using stock reflector optic, i got a pretty good beam pattern when i just threw on some foil to make it bigger but when i went to using aluminum to strengthen it up i must have forgetten what i did exactly before cuz i got bit of glare again.

anyone mod there glare shield, care to help me out?

o and i have no thoughts on retrofitting so yeah...
