I want to paint that green line above all the numbers in the speedo. What can I use to completely block it out? Or maybe black electrical tape for something quick and easy? :iono:

Black pinstripe tape.

Post some pics after doing it.

I'm going to yank it out tomorrow and figure something out. Have to stop by the Autozone and grab some of that pinstriping tape. I assume since it's designed for outdoor use, it would last just fine inside the dash. Thanks Altitude!

I sent a request in to Speedhut for overlays, they are looking into it now but said they will need a cluster for a few days to make them.

Hmm, have they said anything/did you request something specific? That sounds really cool.

Here we go. Much better looking I think. That's 5 layers of black pinstriping tape from Autozone, and 1 layer of regular black electrical tape. I kept checking it with an LED flashlight until I was satisfied.

Hmm... I wonder what it would look like if I covered up the KM/H readouts...

did you put it on the back or the front?

It's on the back. Sorry about the low quality pics. I'll get my digital camera out tonight.

i did a quick mockup, you should look at it. i removed all traces of Km/H and it looks pretty killer (attached)

It's been pouring rain here non-stop. *goes and gets umbrella* lol, this has been a very wet process today.

Hmm, have the cluster apart again. Unfortunately, it looks like it can't be covered up. The way it is done is somehow different, just not looking the same way.

I asked about Red or Blue overlays, but I think we need like 20 or 25 people to sign up before they will make them. I don't even have a price yet. If I find out more I'll let everyone know.

Better shot.
Think we could get some ones in green? I kind of have that theme going on...

:headbang: - What's that digital gauge you have there?

Autometer Ecometer, displays instant MPG, average MPG, MPH, and a tach.
There's a whole thread about it. Very cool product.

Got an email back from speedhut they are thinking $110 rough price w/shipping. Frankly I'd rather take my chances with replacing led's than pay 100 bucks for a piece of film. sigh...

Como Say What??? $110.00???
Well whatever. I'd rather look for a used S cluster if I'm going to pay over $100.00 for something.
