Does anyone know where I can source the automatic digital climate controls and how to implement them? I LOVE me some digital climate control, and it angers me that they don't appear to be available here...

There's a whole thread dedicated to this exact idea. It's even complete with part numbers. Do a search and ye shall find.

+ you need atleast one separate temperature sensor.

All this stuff will cost a lot of money. I guess you will easily reach 1000+ $ because even here in europe its very hard to find that stuff in used condition because most of the cars have manual a/c. Its definitely not worth it.

There's a thread on this. I did the research and with all of the parts required the cost would be about $2000 plus the cost to ship all of the parts from Europe.

yeah, i found that thread. simply ridiculous. why don't they just offer the same options in all countries?

Because not too many people in the US would be willing to pay the extra money for electronic climate control on a car like the Yaris.

Like CTScott said its making the car expensive. A Yaris in Germany costs 14.000 - 30.000+$. Including taxes and bought at a Toyota car dealer.

My one was about 22.000$. And i dont even have automatic A/C.

Well, I'm not saying they should ship all of them with all options, but why make those parts cost prohibitive or not even available to other markets? My problem is not with the general selection not having them, but I should be able to go into a dealership anywhere and say "I want black interior" and they should be able to get it if they make it at all.

^ that is the Scion concept. A monocar design that the dealership can outfit to each customer's taste on site.

I hope more car brands will be done like that in the future.

We dont get black interior here, too. I saw it in a canadian Yaris but never over here in Germany. You can not really "custom build" a Toyota here. We īve got the same problem. Toyota offers equipment packages but you cant have any combination you want. They safe alot of money by doing this.

My Yaris got the german "S-Paket", which means sports package. But guess what it comes with the regular seats and i cant even order other ones like your "Yaris S" ones or the very similar "Yaris TS" seats. (Yaris TS is discontinued here). Toyotas priorities here are: Safety + Economy. Thats why even small cars here got VSC, TRC, EBD, BA, ABS, rear discs etc.

i think for the black interior i'm going to go the RIT dye route, as the cost of the whole interior being DIY dyed is less than the cost of one or two OEM trim pieces!

I just wish I could get the climate control... for a reasonable price anyway.
