Best "normal" tires for this car?

There's a LOT of rubber out there, and I think we should use this thread to compare what brands and models are good, share experiences, etc. Whilst high-performance tires are certainly the best, we should try to concentrate on what people would use on a daily basis.

Personally I basically had the choice between Nankang (China brand), Michelin, Hankook or Falken, and went for the latter (FK-451) as they were not much more expensive, sportier looking, and of a brand which is probably better known for motorsports :biggrin:

So far, so good, they have more than enough grip to handle the awesome power of the engine (cough cough), and even at decent speeds on wet road, they've been more than stable enough.

It depends on what you want
better grip for dry conditions
better grip for wet conditions
longer lasting
better MPG
IMO a touring tire would be the best for mileage and long lasting. I have had decent results with Hankook, BFG, and Toyo.
I'll never buy another Canadian tire brand tire as long as I live. They are just lowest quality or rejects from other major mfg's.

for falken,personally its the most hateful brand due to it has ..not much grip
for nankang, it improved alot comparing a few years before, I know this because now in Australia, its becoming more popular on track
michelin,it always has the less complaints you would do,but its more expensive in those few brands you are given
hankook,don't know much about it,sorry

personally,i recommand you to use yokohama or bridgestone,
although its expensive but you don't have to always buy new tires to replace
and it gives GRIP to improve your performance,so that its good and safe

but they are all my own opinion,please correct if I am wrong
