Hey all , I needed a little something to kick up the yaris . Picked this kit http://www.compperformancegroupstores.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ZX&Product_Code=82357&Category_Code=SafeShot up for super cheap but with a 10lb nitrous express bottle instead of the 5lb bottle that comes with the kit . I stripped the lable off the bottle and then laid down some of my favorite gold paint all over it  I have the selonoid hidden behind the front bumper above the fog light on the driver side . The switches are in the center console and the bottle will live behind my seat on the floor(bottle brackets on there way from summit). I plan on running a .30 nitrous jet which they say is around 35hp . I'll post more pictures tommorow:thumbup:

It should be all hooked up tommorow but I'm waiting for a set of "no scratch" bottle brackets from summit racing which should be here friday then i'll fill the tank:biggrin: Everything is hidden when looking in the engine bay and the bottle can just get covered up with a hoodie for daily driving to keep it on the DL from "the man" I got this set-up for dirt cheap and well worth it for some more points at the shows .

I think an instant 35hp would be a blast. Damn thing already acts like it's on boost when you downshift. Someone in a riced out civic with about 200 stickers, and a giant wing starts tailgating; you shift from 5th to 3rd, wait a second, shift to 4th, go nitrous and... CYA! :burnrubber:

Nitrous is the best cheap way to add power to a car. It also adds a nice show component.
Post some pictures when you get everything installed. I'll be interested to see it :)

Do you have a Wideband on your car? It would be a good idea to keep an eye on the mixture... even if is only 35hp, you won't be adding fuel and it could be dangerous...

Thank all  I'm doing the extreme auto fest show in San diego this sunday and I have a few other updated parts/modds that I'll take plenty of picture of and post up sunday night . No wideband(yet) but I plan on taking it to the dyno for the first spray to make sure a/f ratio is still good witht the dry shot.
$314 w/ free shipping, nice little mod there. What else exactly is required for this to work properly? (an air/fuel ratio meter?...)

that kit is all you really "need" but people will suggest other acc. to compliment the system or to check for problems.
Like you said an A/F gauge to make sure the computer is compensating for the nitrous mixture. It is not absolutly needed because this system sprays at the opening of your intake and the MAF is supposed to read the mixture and compensate the fuel.

Step 5: Install Nitrous Nozzle
Optimum nozzle placement is 6” to 18” from the throttle body. This range of distance gives the nitrous
and air proper time to mix before entering the intake manifold plenum. Remember, nitrous nozzles
must always be mounted after the mass airflow sensor, never before them. After you have determined

Sorry I was refering to some of the systems the have the nozzle in the end of the come filter. not much option to put it behind the MAF then. Like this one.

i ran a 35 wet shot on the xA before i went on boost. it was fun.. but as previously stated, a wideband o2 should be on your list of things to buy before you get spray happy. i'm contemplating a dry 75 shot on the xA right now, since i have my FIC and large injectors already installed.

Are you going to frankinstine the kit like your turbo kit? (not saying its a bad thing.) I'm really thing about doing a 30 dry shot like the OP. I have started saving links for a turbo kit too!!

what do you mean frankenstein?
like "not buying the components from the same manufacturer"?
i already have a bottle that fits nicely under the airbag cover so i'll probably use it again.

Exactly. Like for the turbo set up I would like to buy the HKS but I think I'll be able to piece one together for cheaper
