Mobile 2 way radio install

I am an amatuer radio operator. Call sign KC8ZSZ. I want to install my Yaesu FT-8800R mobile radio into my new 09 3DHB. I noticed the owners manual says that this may cause problems with my fuel injection and SRS airbag systems. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Anyone else an amatuer radio operator? 73

Thank you for the information. I will call my local dealer and see what they say. I will be mounting the antenna on the uper left corner of the hatch back. The roof should offer some shielding. 73 means "Best Wishes"

That should be fine with the antenna that far away from the ECM and all of the analog sensors under the hood (with that Yaesu having a max power output of 75 Watts). The key is having the RF sensitive electronics outside of the near-field emissions of the antenna.
