Hi Guys,

Ever since I've got my car I thought the headlights seemed quite bright at times, but I had not push the switch forward to engage the high beams and the indicator was not on. I tested it tonight and all I need to do is push just ever so slightly forward and my high beams are engaged without it going into the proper "clicked" position. So, any motion like using the turn signal etc. can turn them on. I had the dealer install the cruise control; do they screwed something in the process?

Do u have the cruise control as well? I think this a problem, so I'm going to call the dealer. I've just broke the car in...1630 kms, so this should be under warranty.

no i do not. however I do ntice right away when it happens, so it could be that yours may be a different problem. If it is a problem then they will cover it.

Thanks for the link! I just got back from the dealership and like in that thread they are going to replace the switch under warranty. The service assissant said it was ironic that 10 min. after I dropped off my car, he received an e-mail "Toyota Tech Tip" on that very issue for 2006/2007 Yaris.

I wonder how many complaints/repairs before an issue becomes a warranty recall and if this may turn into one for Toyota?
