I need to know what tires would be better for the street and lapping. Direzza Z101 at 195-50-15 or the Direzza Star Spec at 195-55-15. The concern is the 195 50 15 that are on the car do rub slightly in the front whan the suspesion is fully compressed. I know this has been posted before but I could not find it.

in that size, the star spec is a better choice.

if you go up in size a bit, you can find offerings from many other companies (205 50 15 is the most common 15" tire as it's a good honda size)

i recommend looking at 205 50 or 205 55 if you care about overall diameter matching stock.

Depends on what your split in "dual purpose" is. The DZ101 is closer to an all season tire, though it is a very good one. My wife has those on her MINI Cooper. If you expect to drive in a great deal of rain, or ANY snow, they would be the better bet.

The Star Spec is by far the better performance tire. It's not bad in the rain, but I expect at about half-tread the DZ101 would be better. And the Star Spec should not even remotely be considered for "winter" use anywhere that actually has winter.

195/55-15's may rub slightly depending on wheel offset and alignment. Just barely, though. With 41 offset 15x7's, I didn't get any rubbing. With 38 offset 15x7's, I got a little. Not enough to worry about, though. Just the fender liner.
