Here are the pics.
I tried to stay simple and make it clean looking.

I think it could benefit from a nice fine wet sanding, and another shot of clear...

Did you use house paint or something?? I'm scared to paint mine now.....

House paint???? Not sure what you you are referring to.
I wet sanded the entire cover with 400 grit sand paper.
cleaned it and wiped it down with a tack cloth.
Sprayed it down with adhesion promoter and let it dry.
Then I sprayed it with Red Engine Enamel (gloss).
I wet sanded it down with 400 grit paper again, and then sprayed it with the engine enamel again.
I hand painted the black on the VVT-I and logo with gloss black.
I also sanded the nuts that hold the cover down and sprayed it with flat black and then clear (not high temp paint).
I like the orange peal look on the cover because it still makes it look plastic, like it was from the factory (in a sense).

EDIT: Looked at my original photos and the Auto setting just did not do well, I will take pictures in daylight. I took the pictures at night in the garage.....
