i just wanted to put a post up here thanking everyone who helped with some advice and wisdom in my hellish stereo install. as of right now i'm 95% done. the car is all put back together and everything works, i'm just waiting on a new capacitor which should be here tomorrow afternoon. that SHOULD be a 5 min job (knock on wood) seeing as how it is screwing in 2 bolts with a couple wires connected to it. it sounds great! and i can't wait to blast it all around everywhere :headbang:!!!!

thanks again to talnlnky, mobius 1, bob dog, CTScott, pennyracer, and everyone else who gave their input and wisdom while i was freaking out.

:eek:this will be my last electrical upgrade for quite some time!

It really does get easier the next time, and the time after that even easier. I had my fingers crossed for you and I am really pleased to hear of your sucess...

can i just add... i went to my friends house which is a good 30 min drive away tonight and holy crap my car is LOUD!!!!! i have to do some fine tuning on the gain levels and whatnot but i am beyond impressed with the sound that those speakers pump out of it. at one point i had to turn it down because of my ears but the speakers were still clear as ever... i love it!
