I'm just trying to confirm if the following aftermarket H4 Hi/Lo HID bulbs can fit into the stock headlights without modification.

This is the magnetic controlled bulb as oppossed to the High (Halogen) / Low (Xenon) H4 bulbs which are plug and play.

Hey guys,

For those of you that installed HID bulbs like the ones pictured, were you able to put the headlight boot back on?

Thanks Camelll

I had a single beam H4 bulb in there before, and I removed the headlights completely so I had more room to work with.

I took out the boots and looped the wires and HID bulb through the boot before securing the bulb in place and putting the boot back on. It was quite painless and didn't require cutting or modifying of the boot.

The base of the H4 magnetic style bi-xenon bulbs looks bigger than the opening of the boot so cutting it or making the opening of the boot a bit larger might be necessary.

Cool, thanks.

I tried to fit it and it works without cutting or modifying.

Should the base be inside or outside the boot?
The base of these magnetic bulbs move, so would it be better to have it outside the boot so it's not obstructed when the high beams are activated?

Do a search for Violin. His high/low H4, before his full conversion, were just like that.
He had tons of info about the wiring an so fourth.

Well just got one installed on my car too yesteday but i decided to remove the tin metal wrapped around the bulb (shield) it self it looked like a guard or something since i thoguht maybe it doenst need it since i already got one in my OEM headlight assy. I was worried too that it wouldnt fit once i start pushing it in into the housing together with the OEM shield. Now my light is kinda scattered all over the place thinking maybe i should have kept the tin piece(shield) i dunno.
