Noobs are welcome too! Too be honest, I've never auto-x'd a car either, but there's a first time for everything. I hope you can make it.

ya, you have to dig into the forum to find more information;

http://forums.bcmr2.com/viewforum.php?f=68

This years event is going to be a special one. With Motor sports being more and more popular, friendly rivalries are often in the talk. Have you and your friends ever talked about who has the faster car, or who is the better driver? What other way to put such theories and assumptions to the test!

We at BCMR2 welcome those of you FULL members to invite your friends to attend, car/make/model does not matter, in a battle for bragging rights. So please, gather your friends and come join the rest of us in a day of motor sports.

Cost is $50.00 for the auto crossing event, which includes a bbq lunch. Those of you and your friends who are interested, please pre-pay by August 20th to ensure a spot. Spaces are limited.

Our event is set to begin promptly at 10am till 6pm, rest assured, there is going to be plenty of track time!

- When: 10am-6pm [Please arrive @ 9am for tech]
- Where: Abbotsford Tradex Centre
- Cost: $50.00
- Who: BCMR2 members and their friends
--- pre-pay here (http://www.bcmr2.com/bc200x/registration.html)

22nd??? Aw noooo!!! I really want to go, but can't. I have another event.
I'll be at Pitt Meadows on Sunday the23rd at the ubcscc event.

Who is running the auto x? Will it be under SCCA regulations or just some fun runs?

None of the Yaris guys in Vancouver seem to want to do auto x, or maybe not sure if they can do it.
I talk to guys at the meets, but there's not very many who want to try it out. Just one, which is DNGZ. Even the Honda Fit guys don't really do it. Just a few there as well.
Too bad.

Would love to see more people come out and try out this grass roots racing sport.
It is alot of fun.
And a good step towards track events and more.

I'm not in charge of organizing the auto-x, but at the last planning meeting I was able to attend we were in talks with a local club (VCMC?) for them to come and do all the set-up/timing, etc.

It's too bad there aren't more Yaris owners interested. I figured a little car like that would be pretty competitive. Anyways, I hope to see a couple people come out, even just to watch.

It would be awesome to get a variety of Toyota's. Bring some friends if you'd like.

Ahhh, The gang at VCMC. Nice group of guys. They have a good timing system and Solo 2 is their specialty. I figure they'll make a very simple easy flowing course.

I'll see if I can make it out there, at least to spectate and check out the course layout.

I'm the only Yaris hatch that competes in Autocross. There was another guy in Victoria and a sedan here in the lower mainland, but would love to see more guys come out.
Some Toyota's from our last event at ubcscc.com

I can definitely say that I'll be auto-xing again in the near future, it's way too much fun!

Check out ubcscc.com for auto cross. We have a winter series which is alotof fun. We'll also be doing our auto x 101 course for beginners who want to learn the sport.
On hands training with senior drivers and a great mix of cars.

There was a fella who used to auto x his Echo which had a super charger in it.
He moved to HK but his car is still here.

The guys at 604racing.com are familiar with the Echo and the Yaris and have outfitted a number of nice cars in the lowermainland.
I'm sure the guys there can get you some good deals.
