I always wondered what the little hole on the passenger side of my front bumper was for. I see some people here have some sort of little dilly sticking out from there. What the heck is that? What does it do?

The hole is for a tow hook which is what is sticking out of some peoples car.

You got a tow hook for free with your spare tire changing equipment. The aftermarket ones you see look better.
This one is for show:

And this one is functional:

So is this so that you can tie a cable from the car to a truck or something and pull it along? Or so you can pull things while in reverse? Thanks for the patience.

Ah ok, thanks for the explanation. I didn't think that it would be good to pull backwards, but I've seen people try it before... My car is going to be more of the "sweet looking family sedan" than a racing machine haha, so I'll keep my tow hook thing in the kit with the spare.

It can be used for removing the vehicle from a hazard without attaching to a point that might damage it. It is not for towing the car down the road.

I had to use it to have my dad pull me up out of their driveway with his truck when it snowed.
