I don't know if this is right!?
I had a manual transmission, @ 4th gear doing 100km, is about 3600rpm. Same speed (100km) @ 5th gear about 3200rpm. Is that normal that the 4th & 5th gear r that close??? Just wondering!!

In this thread http://yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5374 among the noise you can figure out that most people are seeing somewhere around 3000 RPM on the tach at 70 MPH.

I didn't see it either. What I would like to see is something like:
gear - mph - rpm
So, in first gear, going 15 mph, you are ____ rpm, and have that for every gear. I thought there was a posting once about the shift point speed in
mph and the corresponding rpm, but can't find it using the search function.

although, your eyes might be off, because 100kmh in 4th is 3000rpm and 5th is about 2700rpm.
