View Full Version : Metallic VS non Metallic color
Does anyone know the difference between metallic color and the non-metalic one, especially the Mica since I got a copper orange Mica one.
Like what is the characteristic of the metallic, and the Mica color?
I know this is not that important question, but it is good to know I guess

Metallic has tiny metal flakes in it giving it the metallic shine...
Mica are mineral particles, and also now there are synthetic Micas that reflect and refract light differently than how metallic reflects, so that the paint colour can shift colour depending on how the light refracts through the Mica particles...For instance, that colour shift paint, that looks green from one angle, or purple from another is an extreme example of Mica...
Definately good to know! I have a silver mica RS. Silver is metallic in itself. So adding "mica" to it makes it even more vibrant, I presume. Correct me if I am wrong, he he.......
