No, the trunk is a lot harder then the doors. The doors you can confortably kneel to do, the trunk you need to constantly be in a horrible position, Proberly took me 5 hours total to do the trunk. The trunk has far more material to put down, and where the wheel goes, that area is a bitch to do.

Yes I did it myslef, between the doors and the trunk proberly took me 8 hours.

A good 40 pounds between the doors and trunk

Yes there was a bit of a performance drop

Ugh, I wanted to add sound dampening, but not if its going to hurt my performance...

take out ur spare tyre then, and damp it, that should equal the amount of weight taken off and added on.

i just dont like reaching into door skins, would rather lay on my back, and do a trunk :)

Ya thats a pain, the biggest thing for me is all the cuts you get. My hands have sooo many cuts on it from the material. It takes awhile to heal these damn things because me hands get dirty at work.

grimez: If you want to dampin your car def. do it. Don't worry about the slight loss of performance you'll get used to it after an hour. Damping your car, if done right makes such a huge diffrence in sound quality of your system and makes the ride much nicer considering a lot of road noise disappears.

Ya, i will probably end up taking out the spare... im a huge audio phile, and I don't think i could live without the dampening.

Out of curiosity, how much material did you end up using for the trunk and doors? I am going to dampen both my car and my wifes (Scion Xb) and want to puchase all the materail at once.

80sq feet.

Thats doing it right though. You could use less.

wow , that is a lot. It was recommende that I would only need 50sqft for the Xb, and that was the floor, doors, and hatch. So either that is wrong, or you just used quite a bit, which must make for a very quiet car.

Ya I did a crazy job on mine. Depends on how you do it. You can do a hole car with 80sq feet, just depends on how much you care about each part. Like for me the 2 front doors, trunk, and rare deck were what I was concerned so I put it all on those spots. Thats no double layer either, just hardly any metal showing.
