hi i have the OE keyless entry on my 09 yaris now i have some questions, if i dont lock the car is it true it locks by its self after there is no signal from the key?

i tried going a bit far but i was told that i have to go more than 100m :iono:

i know if i look it form the botton on the car handle then i open it form the remote key, if i dont open the door it will lock again automaticaly

any ideas?

both my first gen and 07 sedan do not lock by itself. It will only auto relock if you unlock with the remote and not open the door for 1min.

so... do press the button to lock the doors when you go out.

I think he may be talking about the keyless entry in the form of a push button to start car kind of way... I may be wrong though. I think I've seen some Yarii with push button start.

I have remote locking/unlocking, and my only complaint is that the buttons on the key fob are far too sensitive. I carry the key in a trouser pocket, and the doors constantly lock and unlock themselves as I go about my normal activities at home or in the office and buttons get pressed as my hips flex. A few minutes ago I heard the alarm going off because the "panic button" on the key got pressed as I shifted in my chair.

My understanding is , that only the Toyota's with smart key
will lock and unlock the car , without touching the keys , or locks.
Unless as above you have unlocked your yaris but not entered it before the
30 second time frame allowed

08+ oem key fobs are different than 06-07's. Mine does not have removable buttons and is pretty hard to press inside the pocket.
