I was just curious, are any members or vistors here Toyota techs? Back when I was a Saturn owner that forum was immensely helpful for lots of things. I changed the radiator and water pump with info I gleaned there. Also swapped out my speakers, likewise. Thanks

Thanks folks My check coolant light stays on for a minute or 2 on cold startups. The coolant level is fine. Is this normal on a Toyota vehicle?

If it's anything like the Scion, it's the cold engine light. Check your owner's manual.

Yep the cool (blue or green) coolant light stays on until the car reaches optimum operating temperature...Then goes off...If the engine is too hot it will come on as red...

Actually, I believe we talked about that in this page somewhere. When the cold engine light is on, if automatic, you could only gets to 3rd gear.

See, we do have many helpful and observant members here. For me, since that is a green light, there is not much to worry about. I would be more concerned if any yellow, orange or red light is seen.
However, if it stays on too long, may be it will be a different story.
