The is probably going to sound rather "girly", but please don't shy away guys.

I've always given my cars names (my last two cars were girls named Dinah & Golda). But when I adopted my little Meteorite Metallic Yaris LB (who is definitely a boy), nothing seemed to fit better than the name he was born with. So when I refer to him I simply say, for example, "Look at Yaris. Isn't he cute?", or "Would you like Yaris to take you home?"

Yaris is my cuddly stuffed-animal of a car. He's my cat's new brother, and he's the biggest little car you ever did see.

"LB" stands for my "Little Baby" and my "Little Bundle" of joy.

I just gotta shout, "I LOVE MY LITTLE YARIS!!!"--I've got to channel this joy before I express it on the freeway and get a speeding ticket!

Come and gloat with me!

Let's hear some gratuitous praise--unleash your feelings--express yourself--share your silly words of love for your Yaris.

:headbang:   :burnrubber:

Sorry to say, but all cars are females

I realize that cars, ships, and such are considered "female", but the sense of gender I'm referring to has nothing to do with tradition or form, nor with how the car physically relates (ie as a "recepticle"--the "feminine" aspect), to the driver (the external body--the "masculine" aspect, which "enters").

Yaris--MY Yaris anyway, just has the essence and energy of a young, adventurous, and sometimes mischievous 12 year old boy.

But we digress! Let's hear some love!

Forgive me, but I had to say this:

Does this mean Congressmen are going to start driving Yarii?

Actually I think of mine as a little alien. Bubbly looking with big eyes...:eyebulge:

I consider mine a frog rather than a Alien. I love my frog, of course, and get excited each time I drive it, just like the day I went to pick it up though. The only sorrow I have is that stupid arsehole that rearended it and I'm still fighting with the insurance companies to have it fixed :(
