can i put my 1nz throttel in a 1zz engine?

my mom haves a corolla 06 automatic and i want to switch my throttel for hers but i dont know if its going to affect her car. she is not a racer or nothing its for daily use only and can i change the flowmeter too?

Umm mechanically you can, but it would mess with her car's computer. See, the 1nz TB has a noticeably smaller inlet diameter than the 1zz, which would probably set of a check engine light, affect driveablility, and perhaps even gas mileage. I'd look for a USED 1zz throttle body. They're cheap, easy to find, and made specifically for her engine.

Her car will probably run like shit being that restricted. Actually I can almost guarantee she will get a CEL. Just save up 80 bucks and buy one somebody is hocking on ebay.
