I went to that meet and I must say those Fits are look pretty good. My g/f saw them and now she wan't to mod her's even more :(

Those are some sweet oddysees. My step mom drives one. The mini-van is soooooo coming back.

The :( becuase she has a FIT!!! If she still had her Echo i'd be a :)

On the flip side the Fits are easier to mod then a Echo.

LOL, Being that I have both of them my "stock" Echo is still faster then the FIT!

I like the FIT. Almost bought one instead of the Yaris, actually, but went with the Yaris in the end (cheaper, better looking). I come from Honda, have driven Hondas for a lot of years, they're really good cars!

I like the picture with all the hoods up, and it looks like there was a good turnout!

Those are from FF. They're pretty nice. That wine colored one is turbo'd. He's planning on redoing some aesthetic stuff.

It's a bit of a trade off isn't it? SOHC should have better low-end power because of its lightness, but DOHC generates better high-end power and overall maximum power.

Of course this is based on my limited "Google" tuning knowledge...:laugh:

but as we know, honda makes horsepower thru RPM.. torque is never their concern. i'd wager the 1nz has a healthier torque curve stock vs stock with the D15

i would love to own a fit. idk why some of you hate on them. my choice on my new car was between a fit and a yaris..i would have been happy either way.

When I was looking at buying a new car it was between a yaris and a fit. I end up with a yaris 5 door s cause I got a better deal and the honda dealer I went to were jerking me around with price and holding the car for me, so Toyota won.

i think they are L15 motors now because of i-VTEC

it doesnt matter because its still sohc even though it puts out more power than the yaris.

The yaris is still light enough to make up that difference.

I love fits but they are cop magnets. ill keep my sedan thankyouverymuch!

Fit lol ,my car got mistake for one of them ugly things a couple of times. I would NEVER drive a Fit...........or just about any Honda for that matter ,except for the Del Sol and the s2k. Course when you live around 2 or 3 rice cities where everybody and his brother has the same exact mods on every frickin' civic you see you devlop a hatered for 'em........I'm sure the Fit is a good car and all but I'll stick to my Yaris. I think the new ones look a lot like a Prius

Ive owned 2 Hondas (Civic and S2000), and two Toyotas (AE86 and my Yaris). Toyota crowd is much friendlier (much like the VW crowd, Ive had 16 Volkswagens). TO be honest though, I would own a FiT right now if the Toyota dealer had not given me more money for my S2000 trade-in than the Honda dealer would.

@Walter - Funny that the Honda dealer gave you less for trading in a Honda than the Toyota dealer did! BTW, what wheels u runnin' now?

Yeah, thats exactly what I thought too! Honda was not willing to negotiate, Toyota bent over backwards for me. Im on stock steelies right now, trying to sell my Porsche wheels and a few other things and saving up for a set of Schmidt TH or BBS RS wheels.

Never. Its not something petty either. I love the new civics and accords. I'd take a g37 or z anyday. I've loved hondas, nissans, toyotas my whole life.

THE FIT IS FREAKING UGLY. Some are tolerable with a ton of work, but it looks like a mini-van. The stock lines are hideous. The hood look likes it belongs on a different car. Its the duckbill platypus of the car world.

I agree with you.

There is stuff I don't like about the Yaris and there is stuff I don't like about the FIT. but you know, if someone took my Yaris and gave me a FIT tomorrow, I'd be equally happy (just wouldn't photograph it as much :wink: )
