Anyone know the size of the stock front sway bar for a 2008 yaris HB? If I wanna change the front sway bushing to polyurthene, what size should I purchase? Thanks

Must be smaller than 19mm since after market ones are 19mm. However, I'm sure someone can give you a specific answer.

Whoa, I guess I neglected the word front. LOL! Sorry about that. My post was in reference to the REAR sway bar. Sorry again.

TRD rear sway bar is 19mm.
Ultra Racing I carry comes 19mm or 23mm

Stock front sway bar is either 22m or 23mm. I carry AOE which is 24mm.

The addition of a rear anti-sway bar to the Yaris makes a huge difference in handling and stability. DO IT!

if you autocross, avoid a larger front swaybar.

Yes, a larger front sway bar on a fwd will induce more understeer, correct?

not necessarily. the real problem with a huge front swaybar on an open-diff car is your corner exit is destroyed by inside wheel lift (spin) throwing away your ability to put power down mid turn or even after the apex.

on high speed courses this should not be a problem though, as momentum carries you thru the "front wheel lift" portions of the corner (as long as you know how to drive)

so you think if you had an LSD that a bigger front rear bar would help?

the last track i went to, CMP, had more low speed corners. REALLY needed an LSD

yes, LSD's should come with free swaybars (dont' we wish front swaybars came with free LSD's? )

Ah, I see. I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing.
