What they say to inspect/service makes sense, but man... it takes 30 minutes to adjust and clean your rear brakes with proper tools. Fuel injectors... I mean, injector cleaner is 10 bucks. IDK. I'd spend that $400 on hand tools and DIY.

Yup, completly normal.
Be prepared to get ripped off if you let a dealer do any sort of routine maintainence service other than a simple oil change.

Yeah, dealers do charge more. But you do get the comfort of knowing someone who knows about your car is ripping you off, not someone who doesn't know about it. Self servicing is better, IMO. I personally use Penzoil full synthetic and Fram EX filters. (or maybe it was EG?) Rotating your tires can be a little tricky though. Still, if you have the time, save the money.

How expensive!!
Don't feel too bad, they wanted about $500 (I think it was more, actually) to do my 60K mile tune-up.

Wow, and I thought my stealership was bad.
All of those things take almost no labor if they would have been done while they checked them (assuming they did).
And $250 for a "fuel injetion" service. The bottle of injector cleaner is $5

Some people get peace of mind by spending a lot of money for car service. They figure that if they spend $500 the car should be in near new condition.

Taking your car to the dealer for anything is like putting a newborn babe in front of a starving wolf!

I like the $90 to replace the filter that Toyota didn't install in the first place...

Wow that is really bad, now I know why I never take it to the stealership!!!!
I am very curious to see what they would do on the said "fuel injection service" for that price i'd expect rebuilt injectors and a free reach around lol

Thats crazy. My local Toyota dealer does the BG 44 injector and intake cleaning with the throttle body cleaning and the additive in the tank and the whole shebang for $100 and the in cabin air filter is $8 at your local O'Reilly auto parts store and takes like 5 min to put in at the most, and the brake cleaning can be done at a local Big O for about $30.
I would go to somewhere different or just do it your self. It will not void a warranty. They cannot void your warranty unless they supply and do it themselves for free. The good ole Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Ya its a waste. I actually changed my oil and in cabin air filter yesterday in 30 minutes and for the price of the oil and filter and a $7 in cabin air filter. The filter takes no more then 5 min. I have my down pat so I can do it in less then 1 min

I love the "clean and adjust rear brakes".
How much does compressed air cost??? I'd bet they don't even remove the wheels. Just blast air in through the inspection port of the backing plate.
And drum brakes are self adjusting. Just back up and hit the brake pedal. DONE!
Stealerships: Peace of mind for the uneducated, a joke to those who know.
