The ABS is not standard feature for Yaris Sedan. Do you have added ABS on your Yaris when you ordered it?

Yes, and it makes me feel better- S model loaded came with abs.

In Australia, ABS, EBD , BA is standard across all models.

Toyota in there infinite wisdom do not offer any ABS in their Northeast region
on the 2dr HB. it is the only region in the country where it is not offered.
Also, the Northeast region gets the least amount of options of any region in the country. Toyota doesn't feel our region buys enough cars... as compared to California...so they stick it to their dealers here.

Yes for me ~ Power Packag Includes: 4-Wheel Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)

Yes, I got lucky and got a Yaris S with manual trans., power package, ABS, and Spoiler that happened onto my dealer's lot. Perfect car for me.

My insurance company thinks I have abs so they gave me some money off on my insurance. But I don't think I have abs. Sccreew the insurance companys.

Until they check that you might not have ABS, false policy + accident = no money.
ABS + extra side, curtain and knee option.

knee option?? they have those on the yaris?? i knew toyota had that option for late 90's avalons due to bad crash test results, but i had no idea the yaris could be had with those. i want every airbag available in this car since the cargo it transports everyday is my wife!

The weasel insurance company gave me a policy. I even told them I didn't think it had abs. And they still gave me the policy. So they're stuck. Its in writing as they say.
So I went down to talk to the insurance people. And they said they have all the info. on the car and gave me a policy that is relavent to my car.

This is RHD... maybe it's not available for LHD market. I know it's not available for the RHD sedan.

YES! and wife got to use them a couple of months ago - said car stopped on a dime when another car entered roadway unexpectedly in front of her. She had her 89 tr old mother in the car at the time. All was fine.

I thought ABS was about maintaining control of your vehicle while braking. My understanding was that on regular road surface it is the same if not a little longer breaking distance than without, but on ice and rain it can make slightly shorter distances...however, the ability to steer is what is really important? isnt that right? sorry i have to defend not having it because i REALLY wanted ABS but my dad was helping me pay and wouldnt let me wait.......:iono:
