I haven't found any info on the following yet.
If disney does acquire Marvel, what does that mean for Universal's Islands of Adventure? i.e., Marvel universe island.
weirdness abounds....

I think Disney wants to get into the more adult action, adventure type movies. I'm sure they will find ways to spin it into something for the park, but their movie audience are little kids.

Disney is dumb... Marvel already scraped the bottom of the barrel with elektra and daredevil...
I'm not spending another 10 bucks on a summer comic rip off, that's for sure.

I think the whole post idea is the fact that Universal has a deal with Marvel to use their characters and...well the "Marvel Universe" in their theme park. If Disney obtains Marvel, it would become a conflict of interest for them to own the rights to everything in the competitions park.
Great rides like the Incredible Hulk, Dr. Doom, Spiderman...all gone
I see Universal biting their fingernails here soon!

I AM HOPING <<<yes caps
that this will push universal to somehow one-up Disney in the attractions department (as Disney is doing them over the dinner table with this deal)

I thinkt the price tag was $4B.. Not a bad price.. This just means that Marvel will have deeper pockets to dig in when they go to start a movie. Hopefully they will not try to disney-up Wolverine or anything..
Can't you see it.. Wolverine Vs Mickey Mouse.. in the end Mickey blows up a balloon and hands it to Wolverine while doing the Hot dog Dance! Wolverine stops berserking and joins in the dance,.. But accidentally slickes one of Goofy's ears off.
