First Texas Meet

WOW!!! It is finally happening!!! Ok for every that is interested and wants to meet Yaris owners from across the state of Texas. Grab your kids if you have them and head to my house on the 18th and 19th. I guess be here around 6ish Friday night and we can all hang out and chat drink beer then start on a to be decided time Saturday morning so we have time to play with the tune on the supercharger. I will be installing frownonfun's supercharge and hopefully fitting a lip kit on my car!!! We have a big pool in the back yard so if the weather is looking good bring swimming suits and towels (yes swimming suits are required). I will be BBQing the meat and will have some beverages for kids and adults. I would like to have it as a pot-luck BBQ so grab a side dish and any special drinks you may want. Let's start an attendence list so I know how much meat and air mattresses to get.

Also you don't have to stay here if you don't want mostly for the out of town guys that don't want to drive back the same night. Just say if you need to stay or not.

Red - let me know what tools you might need that you either don't have or would like duplicates of. I have just about everything car-related other than a lift. I could probably even throw the compressor into the truck if we really need air tools. Of course, then I wouldn't be in the Yaris...

okay about the october meet. Just remembered that I have company flying in that afternoon on the 17th I REALLY want to make it to this meet. Is there any way we could move it to either the saturday before (the 10th) or the saturday after (the 24th)?

yeah i hope everything goes smoothly. i talked to PE in a round about way today and they tell me the kit they are selling in the states doesn't require new injectors. guess the piggyback comes pre-programmed for the stock set. so that's reassuring. was sweating what kind to buy.

i might drink after it's installed and i know everything is gonna be fine but it'll most likely be something from the liquor store. and if the install goes really terrible then it will most definitely be something from the liquor store.

yeah i think most of it was just my being unprepared really. i ran to the hardware store a few times either because i didn't have what i thought i needed or because one of the cheap ass tools that i had broke. also with kids running around and my wife trying to help it just made for a bad work environment. lol. and when i went to do the back springs and shocks it started to hail after i had it all jacked up so i had to let it sit for a bit while i waited for the storm to pass. it was just one of those projects. maybe it wasn't all day but it felt like it.

also i'm pretty mechanically illiterate so that never helps. but i'm learning.

Well, if no one else offers, i'll be happy to rip apart your interior :) I had to take everything apart to run the wires for my light kit. taking out the plug will be easy peasy. removing wires is soo much easier than running them.

Hey I going to bring my Acer Aspire one and my OBD2 to usb cable so anyone who needs to take a look at the workings of there Computer can. I got 2 sets of software for it one to read and display everything that going on in the car and one that can rewrite the program in the computer. I doubt anyone will want to rewrite there programing but u never know and if I can find my fuel maps again I will probably change my mapping in my car to get it back to 50mpg for the winter. Also I will bring my special tool for taking the front struts off a LB cause I read someone had some springs they might put on. I also will bring my spring compressor if y'all think we need them.

Do I need to bring my HD video camera. I thinking I might bring it too Get some video of that supercharger install in HD :)

haha, I woke up at 10 and started messing with my car. I just quit about an hour ago. I moved my rear LED's around, vacuumed, armoralled, washed, windex'd, ran tubing over my sub wires so their all pretty, added my MI and sponsor decals, cleaned the door frames and around the hatch, and finally armoralled the engine bay. I'm sore, to say the least lol. But she's a beaut lol. And the subs are banging, just the way I like it lol.

I hear that if you install an Armor All sprayer on the front bumper, it will polish the road in front of you and you'll have NO rolling resistance all the way to Tulsa. You should get around 300 mpg!

Just got home now in houston. The supercharger install was a sucess! Road rage on the way home but... Great meet.

WOW!!! Just wow!! I would like to thank everybody that took time out of their lives (changed plans took off work) to make it out to my house for the best meet (imho) that Texas has seen!!! Glad to know everyone made it back safe. It was really nice to meet the faces behind the screen names!!!

sup everybody... i ended up sticking around ft worth today. i'll be heading back tomorrow. wanted to thank lilred again for having us over and for all the work he put into the install. was worth the drive and a kaminari kit. everything is still running good but i did finally start showing a CEL afterall. guess i'll worry about that later. i'm just happy that we actually got the thing on for now.

anyway glad to see etheliters made it back ok. hope will and james made it back safe also. hope i can see you guys again next month.
