Vinegar?

ok so I read where ppl use vinager an newspaper to clean theyre glass, and today I tried it and it works! now my question, is can I just fill up my windseild washer thing with vineger?

I highly recommend Rain-X washer fluid. Made a world of difference to me. But this is IMO. I'm not sure about the vinegar. I haven't heard about that before. There is a possibility that it might clog or coat the tubes I guess but idk.

Vinegar is a mild acid and it probably won't harm the fluid tank at all, not sure about the hoses though. Then there's the smell you'd have to put up with. If you do try it you should dilute using half water half vinegar. You will have problems with freezing in the winter though.

I'll second that. My first encounter with Rain-X wipes that you applay to the windshield ate a pair of bran new wipers after a month.

I don't know about damage, but I would imagine vinegar would make the whole car smell funny eventually. I wouldn't do it. Use it on specific areas, with newspaper, but that's it.

Vinegar is the original glass cleaner. That said, I wouldn't want it on my paint.
That plus continuous use may make your Yaris smell like a pickle jar.

PS. Vinegar is a great pain-killer on sunburn. Instant relief but you smell like a dill pickle for hours.

i here Vinegar helps water spots also lots of people wash there boats with a mix of warm water and Vinegar to help with water spotting i have one side window on my car with baked in spots and I'm tempted to to try warm water and Vinegar to see if it will get the spots off i wax my windows very so often makes a world of difference with spotting and fogging up and the front window the bugs come off so much essayer

the smell of vinegar makes me dry heave/puke , real shit . So i'd honestly spend the money for some stoner glass cleaner , rain-x window treatment and a nice micro-fiber towel...
Windex+newspapers works really good and on the cheap 40/60 of water/rubbing alcohol and newspapers is probaly the best thing ever Imo, but it looks ghetto as shit busting that out @ a car show Lol

Use Invisible Glass Spray..... works wonders.

dont use vinegar..... hate to see what left-on acid would do to the yaris' thin paint job.

Yeah, take some bird crap, and leave it on the paint. Vinegar will do the same.

I wouldn't put it in my washer fluid tank, but def use it on the glass. If your from a snowy region clean your windows at night, Vinegar raises the freezing temp of snow/ice/water therefore making it easier to clean off your car :)

Old News papers have been very good for cleaning surfaces no matter what liquid cleaner you use. We used them on the Latrine walls in Basic to pass inspection. Worked very good.

I don't care what Windex claims, I can never get a streak free clean with the stuff. Newspaper + vinegar FTW. Couple of bucks for a 4 litre jug, newspaper from the blue bin. How cheap and enviro-friendly is that!

also i just recently did the vinegar treatment on my "dust caps" (center caps) soaked them over night in water with about a pint of vinegar took em out little steel wool rinsed them and dried they look new AWESOME ill put up a pic tom
