So I finally got pulled over tonight for my tail lights being too dark, no citation or anything but I need to deal with it so here are my options.
-LED Bulbs?
-Aftermarket Lights
I found these but ehh....idk if itll brighten em up noticeably

If i were to get aftermarket lights it would be some niceee ones that were PNP
I'd love to have the JDM ones, what are the going rates for them fake and real? Also the build and long term quality.
I appreciate any and all help/pics

You mean the RS tails?
If so I have garm's fakes and besides one of the L.e.d.'s being a bit dim :/ they have held up real nicely! they let in condensation but I was meaning to seal them up but never got round to it, seeing that i've had them for 8 or so months they look brand new.

Don't get those LED bulbs. They look cheap to me. You can do spider-lites, but they not as nice as the RS replicas, and probably aren't as bight.
Anywho, the RS replicas:

hm, ive seen smoked versions around that looked nice, My whole theme is black or dark colors so Ill end up smoking them if they arent already.
Were the fakes plug n play and how much.

those spider lights look really cool and have potential but how much brighter do you think they would make my tails look? If necessary ill take some pics at night so you can see what its like now.
Those RS fakes look nice but the wiring isnt attractive. hm

Not sure if they're bright. Imagine these without the bright red halo's:

these tails werent smoked/black though were they.
I saw some rs style tails on the ebay that claim to be a direct swap and are decently priced.

I bought those lights (first one) for my Echo 4 years ago and they where 2 time dimmer than regular bulb! I still have them in my laptop case and they where 5$ at Canadiantire. doesnt worth 5 cents IMO

my RS tails are $180 shipped and are a newer version that is even closer to JDM quality.
I can also get real JDM tails from Japan, and usually have one set coming in, can give pricing in PM.

Check out 3W Luxeon Star based bulbs. Superbrightleds carries them in various automotive packages. They are far brighter than any other LED bulb or OEM bulb.

7443-WLX3 for white or 7443-RLX3 for red. The part number on the info page is wrong for red (it lists two 7440s), but it is correct on the order page. They are not cheap @$25 each, but they are wicked bright.
