Went to order Toyota's version of vent shades and the dealer(Canadian) told me they won't sell them anymore because there have been to many complaints about them cracking and breaking.
Is there another source out there?

I have a set coming in from overseas that look like the mugen ones. Once I receive them and get them installed I will post pics and take interest.

Are they from the this ebay sellar ???http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Yaris-2009-Mugen-Style-Window-Visor_W0QQitemZ170376519099QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMoto rs_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item27ab3b5dbb&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
Please let me know how they look/fit when they arrive . I bought some from some POS ebay sellar and they were broken in shipping and also had "toyota" logos in them but were covered by the shittist/stickiest sticker on both sides ( obviously to cover the couterfitness of them when they crossed customs) so needless to say I still need some too .

As I posted before, I have some regular and also Mugen sets coming in with my next shipment. No idea of the quality, just ordered a few so we could see.

No problems with my Genuine Toyota set, for 4 door hatchback. So far so good, and thats almost 2 years now, and extreme cold/hot climate changes.

Same here, 2 years with them. Just checked Toyota site and visors still show as an available accessory.

Are the Toyota branded ones in-channel or do they stick to the outside? I got Weathertechs for my 3-door LB, but they kept almost coming out. Returned them and got the AVS in-channels and those were much better + they didn't have that vertical piece at the end that blocked part of the side view mirrors.

AVS doesn't make them for the 5-door LB so I'm stuck with the Weathertech ones. The visors for the front doors on the Weathertechs have the same problem as the ones for the 3-door LB. So I put some 3M weather-proof double sided tape on them just like the rear ones have. They held on for a couple of months, but are again beginning to come loose. The one the driver side even scratched the top edge of the driver side window.

i got a set similar to blacksandiegovitz's on ebay with the toyota logo. have to agree with the stickiest stickers on them but nothing a little goo gone couldn't tackle. can't say much about the fit of them since i haven't put them on yet but mine were packaged really well.

That isn't who I ordered mine through but they look pretty close. I have some people overseas from when I made contact for parts for the xB. Once I receive them I will install and post pics. Thanks

The ones available here are in-channel, for front and rear. Rear windows visor edge has adhesive along the edge that sits in the channel for extra reinforcement. Front windows have no adhesive, and I only notice minor shifting near the side mirrors when the window moves up and down. I also have annoying passengers that insist on holding onto the visors when the windows are down and out for a drive. The visors are stable even against that nonsense! Overall, very pleased.

why people want to hold on the vent viror? there is a handle in the car for that! keep your arm in the car at all time for your own security

I agree. Maybe their hands and fingers get cooler with them actually being outside. :iono:

Looks just like the WeatherTech ones. Maybe WeatherTech makes them for Toyota Canada? Just like the Toyota Canada hood deflectors made by that other company that was selling them here in the US.

i got the in channel vent visor from weathertech.com they are cheaper running around $55 plus shipping and handling also you get them pretty quick.

you should add some 3M double stick tape to them so they will not fall out. i know a few people who got these and fell out at the base.
