and fluid, and lines. If you're cooking your fluid you'll get fade that way too.

All of that, and, of course... better tires, suspension setup and skills so that you can corner faster and BRAKE LESS.

what is the difference betwen dot 3,dot 4 an dot 5 brake fluid?

Google is your friend.

Mainly, the difference is in the temperature spec. Dot 5 is silicone based and has some other benefits (and some potential pitfalls depending on what you want to use it in).

For racing, get a good high-temp DOT 3/4 like Motul or ATE. Pay close attention to the actual brake fluid spec, not just the DOT spec. The DOT spec is just a minimum that must be met, so you can have "streetable" DOT 3 that isn't nearly as temperature tolerant as "race" DOT 3.

after a bit of research I've decided to change the brake fluid, clean and lubethe front brake and bleed bleed bleed.I'll wait for the roter to wear before i change pads.

AMSOIL is another good DOT4 brake fluid.

www.trulube.com (lazerdot is the dealer, he's a member on here)

if the pedal is still firm, and it is just not braking as hard as it should, then you don't need fluid or lines, just pads.

If your pedal suddenly gets soft then go for the fluid.

There's no question that you need pads. The stock pads were never intended for track use and will fade VERY quickly. You need good higher-temp pads, and fluid that will hold up to the higher temp the pads will operate at.

Ducting helps A LOT, too.

We need a predictive text-like feature that will just automatically forward users to www.microimageonline.com whenever they type "where can you find..."

LOL, nah there's other product sources too! "I don't sell brake fluid" -- so there.

I use Neo Synthetic and it feels absolutely amazing. Granted, it can be pricey but for brake fluid why cheap out? Here's a link to the fluid and the place I get it at for a discount http://www.upgrademotoring.com/performance/neo_superdot610.htm

My oem pads are pink with a fissure in one. they are four mos old and I thought it might be defective. Toyata said they were pink because they were over heated. The parts mgr was confused about when I bought them because the were 3/4 worn. They did the right thing and replaced them ,no charge. I'm waiting for my CarboTech brake pads xp8 from MicroImage.Oem pads and lapping dont work well, even for a stock Yaris. How do you clean and lube front brakes?
