how to reuse stock ipod/mp3 player jack....

i just got a new dvd player for my yaris, and was wondering if someone could tell me if, or how i use my original stock ipod/mp3 player jack on my new dvd player? i have a 08 sedan, mines located on the passenger side next to the radio, might be diffrent for HB.
anyways, i tryed following the wires, but couldnt see where they went. and they looked like normal speaker wires, and i've only seen ipod/mp3 player jacks connect to cd players with AUX plugs...
so if anyone could help me out, any input could be much appreciated!

can you post a scan or link to the wiring harness/diagram from the installation guide to your new Head Unit/DVD player?
