Does anyone know how to do it, or are there any ready-made headlights available? There were some blackhoused ones on ebay and I got all excited, but found out they were only for yarii up to 08. :frown:

I spent several hours yesterday trying to make it happen. Peter knows his shit, and makes these diy's look easy. But for the average modder, I would recommend you take your time with this or let someone who has experience with these things do it for you. You will end up spending alot of time trying to make something happen that you don't know anything about. Yes it is possible, but leave it to the pro's if you wanna get it right the first time! Time is money, and money is time!
Oh yeah, I melted one of the headlights, and I could not get the projectors to stay in place. Luckily I had an extra set of headlights to put on my car. Good luck to all of you who try this. It's a PITFA(Pain In The Fuc... Ass)!

Hey,
All you gotta do is take your time. What temp did you set your oven at and how long did you leave your headlight in for it to melt?
Did you get the projector to fit in the headlight housing? Or did you have to use a dremel to make it fit ( like I did )?
did you put on all the rings and lock washers to keep the projector in place? You need to put them on tight and it needs to thread on evenly. Maybe you didn't thread it on good?

when you put the headlight in the oven, you must first lay the headlight on a cookie tray, put foil to cover the cookie tray, short pieces of 2x4(wood) then place the headlight on top of that-the headlight won't melt. setting the temp at 200 degrees is fine for 8 minute IMO.
