I have seen your Yaris TWICE in Cerritos already, which is where I live.
Once at Heritage Park and today I saw you on Bloomfield and Artesia. You were on Bloomfield in the left turn lane onto Artesia. You were in a red 07 or 08 liftback w/body kit; I couldn't get a good look. I'm dying to know who you are because although I see a couple Yarii out there, I hardly ever see any modded ones, and apparently there's one in my small city :biggrin: I was 3 cars behind you and one lane to the right. Blue 09 liftback with yellow fogs on during the daytime.

Okay this is killing me. I didn't think anyone on here also went to San Jose State but...

Who is the owner of this bayou blue liftback? It's a picture I took this friday in the 7th street garage on the 4th floor.
The mods I noticed were tint, S spoiler, exhaust, 5 spoke silver wheels, and vitz badge on the back. It looks a lot like Kioshi's I think but I don't think it's his... Anyone going to claim it?

Saw a Pacific Blue Metallic sedan on Sunrise in Rancho Cordova today. I was making a left on Coloma, driver was going straight. I didn't get a good look since I only saw it in my rear view mirror, but it did have rims (17's probably) and tint.

Saw a Blazing Blue Liftback today at Best Buy on Curtner avenue. I wrote him a letter inviting him to the forums and left it on his windshield.

I'm not sure if they're already a forum member or not but figured it was safer to assume they weren't!!

So if this is your car, well, you can throw away my letter haha.

If this isn't anyone's car, I hope they register and start joining us for Bay Area meets!!

Their mods: 205/45/17 tires on nice black wheels. Heavy tint. Medallion touring exhaust. Overall I thought the car looked great.

its also got 2 10 inch subs bumping in the back next up is gonna lower it:smile:

Since you're running 18's with wider tires, I would go with TRD springs (assuming you don't plan on upgrading the shocks). DF's would be too low and too soft so you're likely to feel tire-rubbing over every little speed bump and corner. Plus they aren't covered by your dealer's one-year base warranty, and people here with DF's have complained that the rear starts to sag after one year.

thanks silverback i was looking into the dfs but my stepdad has 17s and some trds and it sits a tad bit high in the back but i was thinking since i got 18s it would make it look nice and clean with the trds plus it would get rid of the really awkward height my car is at right now also since ur in el monte

do you know of any shops around that would install for less than 300 cause thats the lowest i could find i kinda feel its a bit ridiculous of a price for an install

^True, but I've seen his car in person. His sits high and already looks like it has almost a little bit of wheel tuck while cornering because it's on 18's on 215 tires. Progress is so low that it would make him rub like crazy. Rubbing would be less frequent on TRD's, but only because it's a softer spring.

Only over speed bumps and dips (and %*$&# LA potholes!!) at faster speeds. The higher ride height (compared to Progress) should compensate plenty otherwise. If he was on Progress he would be more prone to rubbing over every little dip, bump, and steering maneuver.

Oh yeah, and I saw a modded Yaris around here somewhere at some time today. Too tired to remember the details right now...

3 Yarii sighted on the 101 .... Yesterday I drove down to LA and I saw 2 Yarii going south ,one Red Sedan (looked like a 2010 was still shiny but I passed it too quick) and one Blazin blue HB in the Santa Barbara traffic!

I also saw a dark grey (or silver?? It was really dark and I was exhausted) with really dark tint...coming back north with me .... He/she kept up with me for about an hour but I think I stopped to get food....(It was too dark for a pic)

Funniest thing happened today.

A woman comes up to me just as I was heading towards my car (at school). She asks if I have jumper cables and I say yes. So I walk her to my car so that we could both drive down to her car. Anyone want to guess what she had?

Hehe, it a Blue S Sedan. I guess she wasn't used to the way the after market security start worked and inadvertently left her head lights on. You know where you have to do a certain knob or switch at the same time as you are starting the motor.

First, the show is called Psych, not Psyched!

Secondly, while the show is filmed in Canada and features a Canadian-spec Echo; when scenes are shot in Santa Barbara (where the show is based), a US-specs Yaris is used. I've posted pics before, but here they are again...

Spotted this stanced 3rd gen just north of the Montclair Plaza, next to Rocco's Pizza (good pizza!). I especially liked the Eazy-E air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror.

Recently spotted what might be the cleanest 2014 (I think) 5 door I've ever seen at the Firing Line shooting range in Huntington Beach. It was white, with gold wheels and what appeared to be slightly stretched tires. It also had some larger than OEM, black aftermarket mud flaps with gold writing on them. Really nice ride.

Tried to snap a pic, but my phone was low on battery and took so long to actually capture the image that I thought I got it, but ended up actually getting a nice shot of the pavement as I was walking away rather than the car lol. Interestingly, it was parked in front of a super sick, race decal covered Dodge Challenger. All in all, it was a good day of gun buying, gun shooting and car spotting.

This weekend was a Yaris spotting extravaganza.

Took a trip up to Sequoia National Park and spotted a ton of Yarii. A couple white third gen's and a gray second gen driving the mountain roads. A couple sedans on aftermarket wheels along the way, but by far the most interesting of the bunch was a mustard yellow with orange gas cap door and pink five star wheels second gen going through a Del Taco drive through at Tejon Ranch Outlets area. I was in the In-N-Out drive through line and couldn't get a pic, but it was a sight to see. Amazing that someone would go through the trouble of customizing their car that much and not be on the forums. The lack of response to any of the recent sightings I've posted here is a testimonial to how much this site traffic has slowed. It's a bit of a bummer.
