HID kits?

so ive had my yaris for sometime now and i really want hid's but im very cautious to buying a kit and it not work on my car. who has installed them and where did u get your kit from

drop in HIDs are easy to put on, go with Bi-xenon they have better cutoff, however that is only in comparison with single beam HID, for true HID affect of dramatic cutoff you will need to do a retrofit. Caliyaris on this forum sells both. There are FYIs on the install.

There you go. I've seen the actual kit in person, and it is nice. Works very well, unlike my eBay kit. The projector kit is very nice if you have some extra cash. It gets rid of the glare that a drop in HID kit produces in a halogen housing.

thanks everybody. on those projector kit do i have to cut to fit that in the headlight housing or does it drop in

You'll need to use a dremel to make the hole slightly bigger, but nothing too hard. There are two DIY guides here that you can use to install them.

actually navydoc88 has a sedan and i believe no dremel was needed when Brian installed his when it came to actually putting the actual projectors themself in
he only used it when putting the amber panels back in

all you gotta do is open the headlights up and follow each step precisely as stated in the DIY

The projectors are a perfect fit in the sedan headlights. The only cutting that is required is to notch
the turn signal housing so the bottom of the projector doesn't hit it.

Yah, brian and camell both didn't need a dremel for the projector to fit in the housing. Only I needed it for the liftback. Either way, it was a MINOR task, if even that.
