Just a quick question for the local enthusiasts which spring is better for lowering? Has any one had any regrets after lowering?

Mate that was my first choice but to get it installed is freakin $400. I am leaning towards pedders sports springs as they supply , fit and align plus 2 years warranty for $590

I have pedders, i reckon they seem pretty good. Though it doesn't lower the rear as much as i'd like.

Tanabe or Tein should be a good alternative though.

Ride height is that with 17's.

Apparently king springs are cheaper but after a while they tend to go soft. So gives you a bouncy ride after a few years. Thats why i went for pedders. But pedders tend to only have legal height for most vehicles.

Maybe you can get coilovers? Costly but will be better long term.

From thailand, a shop called rstyleracing. Contact them through e-mail if your keen. Their just replica of the original. By the way they would prob need to be glued to fit well. Mine had to be anyway.

Otherwise i'm sure cali yaris. Can help you out.

i think tein, trd and tanabe or king springs are pretty much the same....cannot really get any performance or handling from it but just for lowering. So if you have more money,,,i will recommend you go for the tein basic compact or any coilovers.....coz the springs will damage the shock in long run and you will definitely need to replace a whole new suspension in a short period of time unless you are just doing the normal daily drive only. :)

the problem that iface is that the car is under warinty for three years and if you were to change performance parts you are not covered but if you use toyota gen parts you are also the trd parts are les to insure then an after market set because when we spend money on our cars we tell the insurance people ... yes :) well i do

Jeez that makes things a lot clearer, i guess i will be on the lookout for gen trd parts even though its a bit pricey its worth it on the long run
