I have some 205/40 hankooks on the way also. Currently on the stock suspension with a 12mm rear hub spacer.
I have tein springs to install and hopefully no clearance issues!

congrats! TDR's ftw! but 205/40 is kind of short IMO.

only 7mm shorter than stock. I was originally thinking about the 195/45, but tires available in that size are limited.
I used to have a set of TDR's on my miata (15's) and liked them a lot

215 45 17 should fit fine with that wheel spec. where did you buy the TDR's by the way?

I bought mine on Honda-tech classifieds.
I almost got a set from:
http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Magik-Wheels__W0QQ_armrsZ1 - sells TDR and ships from Ca.
Once I install the tein springs, there will not be too much room... The offset is high enough I might go for a 205/45 next time

What's the weight on those 17's???
I know these on 15" are just above 12lbs
Those on bronze would look killer on my car....
I haven't seen 17's TDR's on goodwins... anyone know if they carry them?

205's are a good call. The 215's are likely to rub with your springs, at least a little. I have 215/40/17 on 17x7 w/ +40 offset, and they rubbed with a 2" drop. No problems now that I'm on NF210's, but only a bit over 1" drop.

i love my team dynamics... i really like that i could get the +25 offset. i could use another 5mm spacer in the front when i slot in some more camber, and the rear hub spacers when i get stiffer rear springs, but other than that, they fit pretty good. mildy aggressive shall we say.
ill probably buy another set for R888's eventually.

aren't you glad you're the first :) sorry the bandwagon took off but i'm still glad you went the route of TDR's instead of konig or others...

I traded it on on the yaris and got 11,6 for it. Thats a relative number because they did not discount the yaris much. KBB was 10k trade-in and 12k private party at the time.

I'm SOLD!! Those will be my next wheels when I get rid of the factory alloys!
Wrapped on 215/40 falken rubber
Should be 16.5 lbs <from TD website>
Not the lightest but not bad at all... specially for the price.
Plus this looks like a pretty strong and solid wheel... that's a most for my local streets. Once I smashed a konig helium into pieces....

i want to see a black one with silver lip. would look nice on my Meteorite Metallic i think. What is the weight of the stock steel 15in wheel/tire? i think i remember seeing that the 15 stock alloys is liek 33.4lb or something close to that

The tires were mounted today and I will take some photos later today. The look nice! and with the tein springs, 205/40/17 proved to be a good choice.
