Hello!!

I have a 2006 Toyota Yaris Liftback 1.3. A few weeks ago I started realising a funny continuous humming sound coming from the rear left of the car when turning the steering wheel! It only happens sometimes but is getting more and more with time!

Can anyone maybe clear that up or what the casue can be off the humming sound?? Any help will be appreciated!!

Thanx

Check your wheel? Maybe it's come loose

Maybe the electric power steering? See if you can pull the fuse on it and if the noise goes away.

Could be rear wheel bearing , loading up when turnning :iono:

Humming sounds?

Try pulling over before your GF goes down on you....doing this while driving is dangerous and rude too!

If you don't have electric power steering, then it's hydraulic. With hydraulic power steering it could be low on fluid.

haha thanx for all the replies but the car went in for it service just 5days ago and the dealer couldn't find anything! my car have 105000km on the clock. it cant be the hydraulic pump because the noise is coming from the rear of the car. is their maybe some kind of pump at the back of the car that can make that kind of noise?? It usually only hapens when the car is warm and the engines revs drop abit because of the extra load of the lights being on and the turning of the steering wheel!
