What's with the short notice, man???? How long is the cruise? I should be working on my CRX, but maybe I can take an extended break.

As for any questions, I have one. If you have a pool you need to fill up, what would be quicker to fill it with: Two 5" pipes, or one 10" pipe. This has been bugging me for some time.

Short notice? How? This is a week and a half away.

Edit: moved it over a week so it's not so last minute

It's about 20 mins each way. And I meant questions regarding the trip lol

area of a circle is PI*(R^2)

the area of a circle is directly proportional to the maximum amount of water a pipe can shoot out right?

well case 1: 2*(3.14159 * 5^2) = 2*(PI*25) = 157.0795
case 2: 1*(3.14159 * 10^2) = (PI*100) = 314.159

There are two pipes but remember that the square function (y = x^2) is an exponential function which means the higher the input you give it the exponentially higher the output is. Example 3^2 (9) + 3^2 (9) is less than 6^2 (38).

Gogo 10" pipe!

edit: this is the same reason large exhaust pipes and wheels have such pronounced effects on cars!

IT ISSS short notice. But thanks for moving it. Count me in. And yeah, I knew what you meant about questions. I felt like being silly

LMAO - Thanks! I actually got "unlazy" and figured it out yesterday, right after I posted that. Just one thing with your numbers: You took the diameter instead of the radius! Case 1 should be 2*(3.14*2.5^2)
Thanks though! :w00t:

^You coming down from San Jose for the meet?

Unfortunately I got a Birthday party around that time to attend so I can't make it. Also LA is 350+ miles away :frown:. I would need to save gas money before heading down south for a meet. I plan to eventually but probably not during the school year.

Indeed I did. I never was any good at word problems.

Have fun up there.

BTW, saw your post on the Mitsuwa thread...funny guy. Is that a line from a movie?

I was LMAO when I read an old post of yours, from 2007, in the auto-x section. You said something like, LSD will NOT help...unless i throw it the other guy.

This was 2007, and you were running pretty much stock. Maybe it wouldn't have helped. :iono: Or mayyyybe you were just being funny.
Either way, it made me laugh, and I needed that after a long day here at work! THANKS man.

Likelihood is favorable. Do you need a helmet? I forget.

Yup yup. Was cool run(s). Good thing for the tight and narrow roads, eh.
Speeds were kept more than reasonable.

Trying to watch the videos but youtube doesn't like to give you bandwidth unless your video has 1mil+ views!
Just got to leave them running I guess and come back in 30 minutes after they're done loading.

Well that's what happens when you've frequently hung out with people that used to run those roads at 1AM on weekends. Damn bad influences lol

Just be careful for motorcyclists...
Cars crossing the DY = more than just a fender bender for us. :frown:

I agree. Being a former rider (can't really call myself that, but I know).
But forget the motorcyclists, the concern was more with the BIcyclists!
Good part of that road, was soooo narrow, and that's where you find them.

ummm, I kind of thought you were :iono: (which is perfectly fine. this isn't no speed contest!)

You misunderstood me incorrectly! (Quoting some girl that used to work for me!)
Double negatives are awesome. In math, two negatives make a positive

Ahhhh yes. I took a few years off riding, and got back on only to be scared straight on the freeway! So much changed in so little time.

Daaaamn, that crazy cyclist! Any relation to you, Krazygirl? hehe
