Jolt Yellow - is it as bright as in the brochure?

Hi - new here, and my wife is thinking about buying a new 2010 Jolt Yellow Yaris. We haven't seen it in person, only the brochure pictures and the color chip -- and have heard that the yellow isn't as bright as in the brochure. I saw some pics in another thread and at least there the color looks alot more washed out than in the brochure. Can anyone confirm/deny?

NO it isn't as bright as the pictures show. It looks like a piss yellow. There are pics of the car on here somewhere. Let me see if i can find some.....

I saw one, and I had a 78 Pinto that exact color. I loved it for about two weeks, then it embarassed me. Sorry if it hurts anyones feelings.

it looks yellow, its not INSAINELY bright, but its still a bright yellow, and it does look like a giant pacman.

just like a white one, looks like a storm trooper helmet...

and mine (black) looks like a darth vader helmet.

It's a pastel shade of yellow. I would've gotten the yellow if it looked like my '92 Sunburst Yellow Miata.

Anyhow... zaino it, it and it'll look pretty much alike. Echo_hrs' yaris is much more of a bright orange than faded orange than it should have.

FJ Cruiser has a decent Yellow...they just thought a cute yellow would look good on the Yaris, it failed..


If it was the color as in the brochure, I was gonna trade mine in, needless to say I still have a black sand pearl Yaris, lol.

I think the only reason people hate the color is because it is adverized horribly. However they other calors are also not a great hugh like the green and orange (I don't think we got those colors)

It reminds me of the newer generation volkswagon beetle especially after a few years since thier paint would fade horribly for some strange reason. The top of the car would turn a light yellow that was identical to the yellow of the yaris while the side panels would remain darker.

You don't hear me or anyone else saying this stuff about Meteorite Metallic or Bayou Blue or whatever color YOUR Yaris is. WHATEVER. Opinions are fine ("not as bright as I'd like"), but this thread turned to negativity early on. I will, however, edit my previous post.

P.S. Perhaps the poster who bought a '78 Pinto should have been more embarrassed about the PINTO itself then then the darn color.

Really? If two newborns are side by side and one is dressed in pink, can one generally assume that baby is a girl? I think the answer is yes, because pink has historically been a feminine color. (I deliberately chose PINK because of that reason, and the fact that it's not a factory Yaris color.) The poster in question said "its look like a woman`s car" referring to not only Yellow Jolt but the Yaris wearing it. I think that pissy would be a pretty common response of our male membership if THEIR cars were subjected to the same comments.

PS - I was not trying to malign the color pink in my posts here. Everything has it's place and time.

^ This. It's not so much that the real color is bad, it's just that it's nowhere near as cool looking as the advertised color. But in my opinion, even the real yellow is better than a couple of the other available options.

unless you live outside the US... in which historically pink may actually be a feminine color.... such as in Japan.

lol still, you need to imagine everyone seeing the amazing color of the ads, and getting psyched about it, and then when the real thing came out, it was massively dissapointed. If you wanna get mad at someone, get mad at Toyota for horrible misrepresenting the color.
