Just bought my dream car (hoping this doesnt turn into a nightmare:cry:) Audi Cabriolet model 1997.:headbang: Paid $5500 for a car with 99k miles on it. This will be a weekend car for us. It arrives tomorrow so have to do the DMV thing...but hope to have some pictures up soon. Its an origional owner car, garaged, newly inspected and passed my personal inspection (whatever that may be worth) The owners family all came out to see the new owner/say their farewells with tears in their eyes.

Nice looking car! Audi's are good cars in general. Good luck with it. :)

Yeah I know theres a premium for a convertible. Not only that, Cabriolets usually have older technology. This V6 is only 12 valve as oppposed to the 30v of others V6's. Runs smooth though.

I went to the dealer and asked how much for the front seat padding (so an upholsterer can rebuild the drivers seat) $1250.
The PO had a TR3 in his garage he bought new and it has 400,000 miles on it. He rebuilt it himself. Hes owned this Audi since it was new and Im sure he took excellent care of it. Thats why I bought it.
But youre right this could be SERIOUS trouble!
