lol that is awesome, i want a pet frog(bullfrog 2 be exact)
Thanks.
My 1st choice was the Giant Pixie frog (below) but I'm very happy with the Pacman.
Giant Pixie's can get up to about a 9" body length, but I've read where some get up to 12" and about 6 lbs...

Indeed that is a beautiful bird.
When I move out I plan to get a snake at least and your picture makes me want to get a bird as well.

This is cool
This is really cool - tell the puppy to sneeze and see what he does! Love it!!
Type in a command and see what happens. sit, roll over, down, stand, sing, dance, shake, fetch, play dead, kiss etc.(I put in bark)
It's also very cool if you type in a command that's not recognized!!
Make sure you type in 'Kiss' too, but do it last..

the wife and I got a call from an old family friend who just went through a divorce. The wifes kids had a couple birds that they left behind. The guy called me at work asking if i wanted the birds he said there was a finch and a parrot. So i went to today to pick up the birds. The finch was a common finch. On the way home i donated the finch to a local pet store :) The other bird was a pacific parrotlet which is a tiny parrot. super smart. The guy said he was neglected and not handled often if at all. So we got him home and cleaned up the cage (disgustingly overdue) and gave him some appropriate seed and fruits and veggies (since its a parrot and likes variety) Just a few min ago i decided to start sticking my hand in the cage t get him used to it. after about 5 min he started walking toward it and hanging upside down. I soon cornered him and started scratching his head. He didnt bite and quickly took to the scratching. long story short 10 min later we have him out of the cage, doing the finger transfers, we can pick him up over its back to palm it. super trusting now .. it must have had some handling before.
its name was Lima Bean.. its now Gumby.

speaking of mistreating animals... My mothers boyfriend knows a guy who is temporarily caring for an English Bulldog that the original owner is "done with" (she was a breeder dog) and now she has no official home.

Among other birds, we feed a family of crows. Put out dry cat food for them. Last year we had a wild box turtle coming around to scarf up cat food. When we learned that, we started watching for her and would go out to give her a spoonful of canned cat food. She was wild and wary, but she knew we were feeding her and didn't freak out when we'd plop it down in front of her. If we backed off a little, she'd eat it right in front of us. Didn't see her all this past summer. Something's happened to her. She had a mass growing on the left side of her head & neck.
Lost a finger or two?

Well ..... here are mine:
Radley
Mini-dachshund
2.5 years
Tigger
Rat Terrier
15 years
I've had Tigger since I was 10, she's the family dog and she's so human-like it's really scary sometimes (I swear she understands English)
My husband and I adopted Radley, our mini-doxie, when he was about 7 months old. He was a rescue, he had his back broke and was thrown in a field to die - after a couple weeks he was found and survived (long story short, of course) and after months of physical therapy was able to walk again - however, he has to wear a diaper and belly band because he has no way to control his poo and pee.... and on top of that, he has irritable bowl syndrome. lol So, he is a very demanding and expensive doggy, but worth every dollar of it :)

Thanks Garm, he shouldn't be too hard to train.I've come to learn in the past few days that he is really smart.
He has only peed in the house once so far, he learned his name in about 5 minutes and to sit by voice commands only in about 10 minutes.
I swear he is a genius dog.
It's a shame that pits have that stigma about them, they can be really great companions, EVERYONE should realize that.

chows among other dogs, also have black tongues and/or spots on their tongue.
As for doomsey, he only looks about 10 lbs under from the pictures, don't know if he's put on weight, but the humane society should have taken care of the fleas and respiratory infection before he went home. Also bleeding pads will go away in 2-3 days. Kinda sounds like they took a dog off the street and sold him to you that day for profit. He looks like a great dog, but I know a lot of "rescues" around here take dogs right off the street and sell them. Don't even wait 24 hours for the owner to call..
Pit Bulls are amazing dogs. Owners are 100% to blame for every dog bite ever. Blaming a breed is the ignorant way out.

Pits can be mean if you train them to be mean. I've seen many that are sweet as can be. My nephew has one, and he's the sweetest, goofiest dog you'll ever meet. But some people are afraid of him anyway just because he's a pit. There are several pits in the neighborhood around here, all really friendly dog.

he was surrendered to the HS on June 22nd at the overnight drop off. Whoever surrendered him left no information. He weighed only 43 lbs. At that time and in the pictures he weighs 51. I can't even imagine how unhealthy he looked at 43...
They were treating him for fleas but the vet said he still should be on some flea meds because I have other animals.
As for the respiratory infection, it kind of blows my mind that they didn't tell me about it or treat it. He hadbeen hacking and weezing in his kennel there...
It doesn't matter now though Im taking care of it. And his pads are about 90% healed. :D
and I agree 100% that dog bites are the owners fault ALL the time. I wrote a paper on the matter, actually.
Tomato, why don't you get another dog?

Age: 10
Born in my shrubs on 7/2/2000, I bottle fed her from 3 weeks when her mom abandoned her.
Second picture
Breed: Domestic short hair FERAL cat - I trapped & rehabilitated her to like trust humans, it took me 7 months to trap her, and she was spayed by a feral cat organization, I was supposed to release her back to the wild but she started head-butting me. So I guess she liked me. She has the clipped left ear tip to mark her as a feral cat.
Name: Stinky
Age: 8

Here is Bella, She is finally here after all this time I've been waiting for her!
As I speak she is in the crate next to me asleep, farting her little tushhh off... She's gross in that way but absolutely adorable at other times.... except her demon dogs spells where she tries to attack your feet at night.

hahaha ^ Toad was the exact same way.
The feet biting will probably stop after her grown up teeth come, but you get to live with the burping, snorting, and farting for life. ;)
you're gonna love her, Frenchtons are hilarious.

This is Doomsey.
I think he is a pit bull mix.
I adopted him Saturday from the Humane Society.
He is about 15-20 lbs underweight, has fleas, a respiratory infection, the pads on his feet are bleeding, and he's not potty trained, but I sure do love him to death already

This is Pumpernickel ... everyone who is on my FB has already seen him, but I'm showing him off here too :)
He's a 3 year old Dachshund and he pretty much managed to steal my heart fully and completely in about 3 seconds. I have had him since Thursday :)

Hanging out on my bed ... it's really dark because I had the shades closed, and my bed is messy from him running laps on it - but whatever :P
